01 What this policy covers #
In shortHow we handle personal information on this marketplace, and what you can ask us to do about it.
This policy explains what personal information mademarketnam.com collects when you use the marketplace, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
It covers the website and the services offered through it. It does not cover other websites you may reach from a link here, whose own policies apply.
02 What we collect #
In shortWhat you give us, what your use of the site generates, and nothing we do not need.
Information you give us: your name, email address and password when you register; a phone number if you choose to verify one; the content of your listings, including photographs; the messages you send through the platform; reviews you write; and identity documents if you apply to become a verified store.
Information generated by your use: the pages and listings you view, searches you run, items you save, your approximate location if you use the near-me search and allow it, your device and browser type, and your IP address.
Payment information: if you pay for promotion, the payment is processed by our payment provider. We receive a confirmation and a reference. We do not receive or store your full card number.
03 Why we use it #
In shortTo run the marketplace, keep it safe, and answer you when you write.
To provide the service: creating your account, showing your listings, delivering messages, sending notifications you have asked for, and processing payments for promotion.
To keep the marketplace safe: verifying identity where a store applies for verification, detecting fraud and abuse, reviewing reports, and enforcing our terms.
To improve the service: understanding which features are used and where people get stuck, in aggregate rather than by watching individuals.
To communicate: replying to your questions, sending service messages such as password resets, and sending saved-search alerts if you have set them up. You can turn off alerts at any time.
04 The basis on which we use it #

We process personal information because it is necessary to provide the service you have asked for; because we have a legitimate interest in operating a safe and functioning marketplace; because we are required to by law; or because you have given consent, for example to location access or to marketing.
Where we rely on consent you may withdraw it at any time, and where we rely on legitimate interests you may object. The exact wording of these rights depends on the data-protection law that applies in your country, and this policy should be read alongside it.
05 Who we share it with #
In shortOther users see what you publish. Suppliers see only what they need. We do not sell your data.
With other users: your store name, your listings, your reviews and the messages you send to them. Your email address is not shown to other users.
With suppliers who help us run the service: our hosting provider, our email provider and our payment provider. They may only use the information to provide their service to us.
With authorities: where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to investigate a serious crime or protect someone from harm.
We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or anyone else.
06 Cookies and similar technology #

We use cookies to keep you signed in, to remember preferences such as a dismissed banner, and to keep the site secure.
You can clear or block cookies in your browser. If you block the essential ones you will not be able to stay signed in.
07 How long we keep it #

We keep your account information while your account is open. If you close it we delete or anonymise your personal information, except where we must keep something to comply with a legal obligation, to resolve a dispute, or to enforce our terms.
Messages and transaction records may be retained after an account closes where they are relevant to an unresolved dispute or a legal requirement.
Identity documents submitted for store verification are kept only as long as needed to complete the review, and are stored separately with restricted access.
08 Your rights #

You may ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct anything inaccurate, ask us to delete it, or object to some uses of it.
Much of it you can change yourself in your account settings. For anything else, write to klausmsitemba@gmail.com and we will respond as promptly as we reasonably can.
If you are not satisfied with our answer you may complain to the data-protection authority in your country.
09 How we protect it #
In shortEncrypted connections, hashed passwords, restricted access, and honesty if something goes wrong.
The site is served over an encrypted connection. Passwords are stored hashed, never in readable form. Uploaded identity documents are held in a protected location that is not reachable by guessing a web address, and are served only through a check that confirms who is asking.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach occurs that is likely to affect you, we will tell you and the relevant authority as required by law.
10 Children #

The marketplace is intended for adults and for anyone old enough to enter a binding contract in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, write to klausmsitemba@gmail.com and we will remove it.
11 Changes to this policy #
